Error Code 0xC946001E in Windows Live Movie Maker.
If you receive 0xC946001E or you cannot add music videos to your Windows Movie Maker or Windows Live Movie Maker and you get a small yellow triangle with a exclamation mark. If you right click on the item and click the fix button you get the following message :
- Do you want to remove <filename> from the project?
- This file might be corrupted or in a format that Movie Maker does not recognise.
- This movie can't be saved or published until <Filename>i is removed from the project
This is because the Windows Live Movie Maker cannot handle the file you are trying to add to the project. This is normally due to not having the correct codecs installed for that file. To Fix this problem it is best to download and install K-Lite Codec pack. This contains a large majority of codes and should solve your problem.
You may also wish to update Windows Live Movie Maker to the latest version.
