How to check the Event Viewer in Windows 7

If your computer is experiencing blue screen of deaths, random problems or its just shutting down. Checking the event log can give you an idea or even tell you what is going wrong allowing you to investigate further and hopefully fix the problem.

To open the event viewer you need to do the following :

• Click the Windows Button in the bottom left hand corner
• Right Click "Computer"
• Left Click on the menu option "Manage"
• This will open up a window and you can expand the item event viewer on the left hand pane. Then open windows logs. The most important one is application log.
• Errors Will show up as red circles - as shown in the image below.
