Microsoft Office Setup ended with error code 30066.
If you are installing an office product and you recieve the above error. Similaly If you recieve this error in the log files when deploying office via group policy then the problem is the computer does not meet the minium requirements for installing office.

I still had this error even though my computer met the specifications above. What i did however forget is that there is also a minimum specification for the operating system and which service pack is installed. So this is the minimum your operating system should be running to allow the installation of office is :
Windows XP with Service Pack (SP) 3 (32-bit), Windows Vista with SP1 (32-bit or 64-bit), Windows Server 2003 SP2 (32-bit or 64-bit), Windows Server 2008 or later (32-bit or 64-bit), Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit). Terminal Server and Windows on Windows (WOW) (which allows installing 32-bit versions of Office 2010 on 64-bit operating systems, excluding Windows XP 64) are supported.
